I recently photographed the Cumbrian Wool Gathering at J36 Auction Mart on 23 June 2024.

The event was full of colour and creativity, with rows of stalls showcasing wool, textiles, crafts, and handmade goods. There were also plenty of demonstrations, giving visitors the chance to see the skill and passion that goes into each piece.

I documented both the stalls and the people — from makers proudly sharing their work to visitors enjoying the atmosphere. A fantastic celebration of wool, craft, and community in the heart of Cumbria.
