FAQs

Are there any travel expenses?

Travel within Cumbria is included in all packages at no additional cost. Anywhere outside of Cumbria will be charged. This will always be discussed and confirmed with you in advance, so there are no surprises.

Do you travel for photoshoots out of Cumbria or outside the UK?

Yes, absolutely. I’m always happy to travel outside of the North West for shoots across the UK, and travel and accommodation costs may be required depending on the location.

For destinations outside of the UK, this is also possible but would need to be discussed in advance. Travel and accommodation would be arranged and covered as part of the booking, tailored to the location and requirements of the shoot.

Can I customise a photography package to fit all my needs?

Of course. All of my packages are designed to be flexible and tailored to suit you. I want to make sure everything you need is covered, so I’m always happy to adapt packages or create something bespoke if required. Just get in touch, and we can build the perfect coverage for your day or shoot together.

How long does it take to receive the final photos?

Every wedding will receive a sneak peek within 24 hours! This is typically 20- 30 images.

For larger weddings, your final edited gallery is usually delivered within 4–6 weeks. For elopements and smaller celebrations, this is typically up to 4 weeks. Every image is carefully edited to ensure it reflects your day beautifully, and I’ll always keep you updated on progress along the way.

Will we have to pose for loads of photographs?

Absolutely not/ as many as you want! I want you to spend your wedding day enjoying yourselves, not worrying about where to stand. I’ll take lots of candid photographs throughout the day, with just a small amount of time set aside for a few relaxed portraits and any group photographs you’d like.

What happens if the weather changes?

Don’t panic — especially in the Lake District! I’m very used to unpredictable weather and always have a plan B. I’ll look for opportunities between showers, make use of indoor spaces where needed and, if the weather allows, sometimes embrace it. Some of my favourite photographs have come from things not going exactly to plan

How do we book you?

The first step is simply to get in touch! I’ll get back to you with my availability and the relevant information. From there, we can arrange a chat, talk through your plans and make sure I’m the right photographer for you before you decide to book.

Can we have photographs with our pets?

Of course! If your dog or another much-loved pet is part of your wedding, I'd be very happy to include them where the venue allows. They’re part of the family too!

Can we request specific photographs?

Absolutely. Before your wedding, I’ll ask about any particular people, moments or photographs that are especially important to you. I’ll make sure these are on my radar while still leaving plenty of room for the unexpected moments that happen naturally.

Do you photograph black and white images?

Yes. Most of your gallery will be edited in colour, but I’ll occasionally choose black and white where I feel it suits the moment and helps tell the story.

Do you offer albums?

If albums are something you're interested in, I'm happy to discuss options with you. I think having your favourite photographs printed and turned into something you can physically hold is a lovely way to preserve your wedding memories.

What happens if you are ill or unable to photograph our wedding?

Your wedding is incredibly important, so I take this responsibility seriously. In the very unlikely event that I’m unable to attend, I would make every effort to arrange a suitable replacement photographer.

Do you work with videographers and other wedding suppliers?

Yes! I’m very used to working alongside other suppliers and understand how important it is that everyone can do their job without getting in each other's way. I’m always happy to work collaboratively with your videographer, content creator, venue and other suppliers.
